Mirari OK to Wake! Clock

WHY WE LOVE IT:

When looking for an OK to wake type clock you want to look for a few things. First, you want to avoid any type of clock that emits a blue light while your child is sleeping. Next you do not want a clock that emits light before it's OK to wake for the day - believe it or not some of them actually do this! Last, you want to make sure it's easy to use. This Mirari OK to Wake! alarm checks all of the boxes and is a favorite in our household!

Hatch Light

WHY WE LOVE IT:

If your ok to wake budget allows for a little, you'll have fun with the Hatch Light that you can control from an app on your phone. You can choose colors, if you want a nightlight for your toddler (remember to keep it super dim and avoid blue light), and what time you want your child to wake for the day. It even has a white noise option!

HoMedics White Noise

WHY WE LOVE IT:

If you're looking to spend a little less money, this HoMedics model will get the job done just as well as any baby/child specific model. Just make sure you select a setting with a true white noise static sound as opposed to a variable sound like birds in the rainforest, crashing waves, or rainstorm and keep it on a lower volume.

EZ Blackout Shades

WHY WE LOVE IT:

These black out shades block ALL the light from your little ones room..... no doubt about it! They are easy to install - just apply velcro to around the window and then velcro the shade right in. You can easily remove it during the day and it won't change the aesthetic of your room. These are especially great when the early morning sun starts causing early wake ups.

Bench Scraper

WHY WE LOVE IT:

I highly recommend investing in a bench scraper when you start to cook with your toddler! They make clean up soooooooo much easier! Just scrape all of the mess right into your trash can before wiping down your table/counters. It works especially well for scraping up flour and other powdery ingredients.

Kitchen Helper Stool

WHY WE LOVE IT:

Sure, your child can stand on a chair or regular step stool or even right on the counter but then while you're cooking you're constantly worried about preventing your child from falling. I recommend investing in a stool like this that can prevent falls and keep both you and your littles focused on the task at hand..... fun with food!
